DESCRIPTION:Teacher Professional Development \nThis Gateway Teacher PD event is to benefit Hospitality and Cookery Teachers by experiencing all the different elements and layers of running and operating a successful restaurant and bar. \nThe day event will comprise of: \nBeverage Showcase \nHeadricks Lane Staff will take you through different beverage aspects of their restaurant from their barista\, their mixologist and even a meet and greet with their Head Brewer.  You will also do a tour of their in house Brewery.  This will include some tasters and hands on demonstrations. \nBack of House Tour by Head Chef or Sous Chef \nYou will be taken through a back of house tour of the restaurant kitchen to discuss the products offered at Headricks Lane and the direction that teh Head Chef takes when planning and evolving their seasonal menus. \nFront of House Guide \nVenue Manager\, Brendan Irwin will take you through the day to day runnings of the restaurant and function rooms and Emily Coleman from Light Group (company who own Headricks Lane) will go through the employment aspects and training of what they expect from staff at their establishments. \nLunch and beverages are all included during the day. \nTo register please go to Eventbrite. \nPlease note that the cost listed is for registered Gateway Schools only.  The cost for non Gateway Schools is $87.71pp which includes booking fee and GST. \n
