| $69.80The Food, Wine and Tourism Gateway Schools program is proud to partner with Steggall Nutrition and Trisco Foods to bring you industry insight in food production, manufacturing and preservation.
This event will take you to 3 businesses that apply food technology to their products. Expand your understanding of what other aspects of employment there is in the food industry. Learn from the best and break down the science, technology, engineering, maths and design elements in a real world environment. There will be a presentation from each company as well as a behind the scenes tour of these Brisbane companies.
A bus and lunch will be provided at Redbank Plains State High School where you can meet the team behind the successful business Platters on Willow.
First Stop: Steggall Nutrition whose focus is on dry products that they develop and manufacture for contract customers. They research all aspects of ingredients and regulatory requirements of all potential products.
Next Stop: Trisco Foods, a Brisbane company with a history that stretches back to 1875. They produce a wide range of products from simple syrups and toppings, to low water activity bake stable fillings and gourmet fruit pastes.
A certificate of currency with the standards affected will also be provided for this day for auditing purposes.
