Kids@QCWT
Getting kids into the kitchen is always a great way to encourage awareness about healthy eating and an appreciation for what is involved in cooking. The QCWT Kids in the Kitchen Program is a way for primary school students to participate in some great education activities, while also being able to enjoy the pride of eating their own hand-made lunch. Students are able to make their own pizzas and participate in a range of possible activities in either a half day or full day program. Potential curriculum inclusions could be the grapevines, measurement, labels and pizza making. Students rotate through the kitchen in groups of 12 at any one time for health and safety reasons.
