Canopy Management Workshop

Canopy management is the organisation of the shoots, leaves and fruit of the grapevine plant in order to manage the microclimate surrounding them, thus improving grape quality and yield. It is particularly important in areas of Summer dominant rainfall, like the Granite Belt.

This workshop will give you the skills that you need to give your vines the very best chance of producing premium quality winegrapes.

• Shoot thinning and leaf removal
• Fruit to leaf ratio
• Controlled stress management
• Sun burn on fruit
• Spray penetration
• Turning foliage wires
• Recognising vineyard problems

Extensive course notes covering all aspects of the course techniques will be provided.  Course cost includes morning tea and lunch.
