Do you want to expand your understanding of food production, manufacturing, preservation and nutrition?

This event will take you to 2 businesses that apply food technology to their products.  Expand your understanding of what other aspects of employment there are in the food industry.  Learn from the best and break down the science, technology, engineering, maths and design elements in a real world environment.  There will be a presentation from each company as well as a behind the scenes tour of these Brisbane companies.  A bus will pick us up from Earlee Products (parking is limited).  After we have learned more about this Brisbane business, we will then go for lunch at the Institute of Culinary Excellence which is a first class facility for student training.  Next stop, Trisco foods’ amazing facility.  We will be taken back to our starting point from Trisco foods.  Water will be provided on the bus.

First stop:  meet at 9.30am for 10am start.  Earlee Products – 2018 Lord Mayors Business Awards finalist.  They work with many local and international businesses.  We can’t wait to see how they do it.

Lunch:  Institute For Culinary Excellence.  We will also be treated to a tour of the facility and its resources available to its students.

Next stop:  Trisco Foods, a Brisbane company with a history that stretches back to 1875.  They produce a wide range of products from simple syrups and toppings, to low water activity bake stable fillings and gourmet fruit pastes.

Return leg: The bus will then take you back to the starting point of Earlee Products.

We expect to be at each business for around 1h – 1h 30 min.  We will break for a one hour lunch.
